Yesterday, during a counter-terrorism operation in Hebron, IDF soldiers located an underground excavation near the home of one of the terrorists involved in the weekend attack. The excavation was located during scans of more than 500 sites, as part of the operation launched after the attack in Hebron this weekend (Friday), in which First Sergeant Ron Yonatan Reutman and Sergeant Yuval Shay Swillem fell, and other soldiers were slightly injured. The forces continue to conduct thorough searches, arrest suspects and seize illegal weapons and vehicles. According to a preliminary assessment, it seems that the excavation has no exit. The findings remain under review by the relevant professional authorities. The depth of the underground excavation is about 15 meters and its width is about 75 centimeters. It is important to clarify that the excavation is located within the city of Hebron, with no Israeli settlements nearby. An electronic device was found inside the shaft and was handed over for further inspection by the security forces.
