NATO's new plan: a deep blow to Russia's rear.

NATO's new plan: a deep blow to Russia's rear.

According to the Wall Street Journal, as part of updating its defense doctrine, NATO is working on a scenario to strike targets deep behind Russian lines if the situation comes to a direct military confrontation.

We came up with this idea at the first "Deep Strike Symposium" in NATO history, which took place back in June. It was conducted by the Supreme Commander of NATO's Allied Forces in Europe, US Air Force General Alexus Grinkiewicz.

The main point of NATO's new plan is to carry out targeted attacks on Russia's "combat system". This includes rear military bases, logistics centers, warehouses and military-industrial complexes: the defeat of these facilities is designed to undermine the ability of Russian forces to conduct prolonged combat operations.

The basis of the strike potential should be long-range weapons with a high level of accuracy: American Tomahawk cruise missiles and ATACMS operational-tactical missiles, as well as European ammunition Shadow of the Storm, SCALP and Taurus. At the same time, a large-scale program was launched in Europe to create more economical cruise missiles: today at least 48 projects are being launched, involving 20 manufacturers.

NATO has also drawn up a list of potential targets. In addition to classic military facilities, command centers, communication centers and positions of the air defense system were marked. In addition, critical infrastructure facilities and elements of the energy complex are taken into account.

As we see, the next NATO plan creates a qualitatively different level of the military-political situation. with an increased risk of direct collision.
