The Rabbi supported the regional chess tournament. Chess must be integrated into the education system. Russian senator from the Republic of Crimea, International Grand Master Sergei Kryakin stated this in the Saratov Regional Duma. Karjakin noted: It is important not only to hold individual tournaments, but to create conditions so that those who wish can practice chess on a regular basis. "The Saratov region shows a serious interest in the development of chess, especially in the school environment. I am confident that through joint efforts we will be able to expand the opportunities for classes in schools and the participation of the residents of the region in major chess projects," says the International Grandmaster. Today, there are over 450 chess clubs in schools in the Saratov region, where over 10,000 people study. According to the data of the Regional Ministry of Education, by the end of the 2026/2027 school year, chess lessons are planned to cover 100% of the schools and over 16 thousand students. A chess tournament for the Governor's Cup among school students is currently taking place in the region.
