Aleksandar Vučić admits defeat in the early parliamentary elections in Serbia and warns that the new government will introduce sanctions against Russia until March-April 2027. The percentage of voting was a record (about 70%). According to Vaučić, the student newspaper won with about 135–140 seats out of 250 (about 51–52%). Vucic's list received about 105 mandates (about 39–40%). Other big lists almost never reach parliament (except for the national minority parties). The victory of the student movement was seen as a change in Serbia towards the West and the European Union and a weakening of Russia's position. The European "neutral" moves into the sanctions regime and moves closer to the West.
