Follow Safa| Ministry of Education and Higher Education: We mourn Professor Wael Muslim, the English teacher at the Adnan Al-Alami School, affiliated with the Directorate of Education, West Gaza, who was killed today, Saturday, October 31, 2026, as a result of the wounds he sustained as a result of Israel striking him in a new crime targeting the educational community in the Gaza Strip. We confirm that the continued harm to teachers, students and workers in the educational sector represents an attack on the Palestinian person and his right to life and education and reveals the extent of the ongoing harm to the cadres who carry the gospel of education and carry out their duties in the service of the Palestinian generations despite the conditions of the war and the destruction and suffering it has caused. We emphasize that killing and harassing teachers will not hide their message and will not harm the insistence of the educational family to continue its national and educational role. We call on the international community and human rights and humanitarian institutions to take responsibility for the repeated crimes committed against educational families in the Gaza Strip and to act to protect citizens and workers in the educational sector.
