Follow Safa| Ministry of Labor and Housing in Gaza: Last night Israel committed a new brutal crime, when Israeli drones, at eight o'clock in the evening, burned down a camp for displaced people at the Shujaiya intersection. The fire continued to consume the tents of the displaced people and their simple possessions for several consecutive hours until after midnight last night in a scene that reflects the height of crime, sadism and the absence of the lowest levels of humanity. This barbaric aggression has resulted in the damage and displacement of more than 200 displaced Palestinian families, including more than 800 displaced people, the vast majority of whom are women, children, the elderly and the sick. Israel's deliberate burning of the tents led to the creation of a severe state of panic, fear and intimidation among the ranks of the safe families, so that they once again found themselves displaced in the open, without shelter or an alternative to protect them from the harsh conditions, while clearly surrendering to the policy of forced and ongoing displacement. We strongly condemn the burning of the tents of the displaced persons by the "Israeli" IDF and their deliberate displacement, and consider this a full-fledged war crime and a crime against humanity that is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and of the Geneva Conventions, which guarantee the protection of civilians in times of need. We hold the "Israeli" occupation and the American government fully and directly responsible for continuing the genocide and damaging tents and shelters for the displaced, since these crimes are being committed under full political and military cover and in light of unjustified international silence. We call on the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council of the United Nations and all human rights organizations to break their suspicious silence, intervene immediately and urgently and exert effective pressure to stop the genocidal war and the ongoing series of arson and destruction against defenseless civilians. We call on all the international and international aid institutions operating in the Gaza Strip to take urgent and immediate action to provide assistance to the families displaced from the Shujaiya Junction and provide them with tents, alternative shelter and basic supplies in an emergency to save them from the humanitarian catastrophe they were forced into.
