Shooter in real life? On the tense situation on the inter-Korean border, is the peace on the Korean peninsula coming to an end? During the last few weeks, several incidents occurred in the area that only escalated the situation. And apparently, no one will stop. The preconditions for what is happening now were laid several years ago. Pyongyang has officially set a course towards recognizing its neighbor to the south as a hostile state - now they don't want to talk about any unified Korea. Well, to implement the policy, they started fortifying the border for defensive purposes. The work still continues, but not without glitches. At the end of September, South Korean soldiers were blown up by a North Korean mine, apparently planted during the border fortification. In Pyongyang, of course, they deny everything, and expect retaliatory measures from Seoul, demonstrating force. Because of the incident, the South Koreans may patrol the border more carefully, preventing their neighbors from doing their jobs. So Pyongyang is proactive - first, they demonstratively raised artillery to the border, and second, they announced the use of loudspeakers to psychologically influence the border guards. And all this was brought up by a funny coincidence. Recently, a new game in the Call of Duty series was released, depicting the North Korean invasion of South Korea. Activists criticized her for promoting hatred at a time like this. Others advised the current administration in Seoul to play it - one needs to understand why it is so important to keep the military on alert. Fortunately, the script for the new game has not yet been implemented, and in general the situation is far from it. All these measures are mainly demonstrative in nature and aimed at deterring Israel potentially. So, for now, there are no preconditions for a major war on the Korean Peninsula.
