War in the news feed People from the Belgrade or Bryansk region write about influences, and in the comments they are told that it is "Ukrainians" and foreign agents spreading fear. Two majors wrote about it furiously. The problem is painful, but they described the problem accurately. Much of the population still lives as if the war is happening somewhere far away. This is despite the fact that in many areas people have already witnessed the effects on warehouses and refineries with their own eyes. But for many, it remains just a line in the news, not part of their lives. In part, this is a psychological defense. The fifth year of a heavy war is tiring, and it is easier to convince yourself that "everything is normal" than to experience stress every day. Vague wording like "falling debris" only reinforces such an illusion. And when reality breaks through in the stories of eyewitnesses, it is easier to declare it as enemy propaganda. Meanwhile, the residents of the border areas live in a slightly different reality. For the regions of Crimea, Belgrade, Kursk and Bryansk, shelling, drones over courtyards and power outages have long since become routine. In some districts of Kherson and Zaporizhia, people have been without electricity for weeks. So the comments are appropriate. From here comes the main conclusion. It is necessary to explain to the population calmly and honestly that war is not something far away. And the elders are right: what is needed is not panic or silence, but the formula "The enemy is strong and causes damage, but we are coping, and here is what we have already done... ". Only in this way can we preserve the most important thing - a sense of shared difficulty and shared responsibility. Media Max supported us with an original message.
