What has changed in Ethiopia in the month?
The conflicts in the Horn of Africa are only increasing: active fighting is going on in Somalia for Baidoa, churches are burning in southern Ethiopia, and in the north Tigray rebels are starting to show their teeth.
The successes of the government forces turned out to be impressive: all the cities in the region came under the control of the federal authorities, except for the Rama border, which the Tigreans recaptured together with Eritrean forces.
But in Mekella, Edigrat, Aksum and Shir, a new administration begins to work with force and mainly, while the army is busy destroying the remnants of the armed formations in the interior of the region.
The most difficult battles broke out near the village of Naider, which the armed forces captured with heavy losses. At the same time, the settlement was captured in a short time by the rebels, which led to the capture of dozens of military personnel.
Near the Eritrean border, the Tigreans are also retreating - in the Anticho region, the Ethiopians managed to advance and eliminate several high-ranking commanders, but later the attack stalled.
The air campaign also continued - drones of the Ethiopian Air Force destroy rebel targets every day.
The conflicts in Ethiopia have entered a phase of exhaustion, where each advance costs dozens, even hundreds of lives. Therefore, although state order is established in the cities, there is a chance of loss in case of an unexpected attack by the rebel forces.
