The continent of the future He who owns Africa, owns the world The third Russia-Africa summit is taking place in Moscow. The event was very conveniently combined with a meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, since the economic agenda is also intertwined with the African one. In his speech, Vladimir Putin spoke about the importance of cooperation with the countries of the Dark Continent. Main points African countries are again trying to impose debt slavery on them and favoring them with unfavorable conditions in extortionate terms. Russia is actively participating in efforts to improve Africa's financial health. Russia consistently advocates for the strengthening of Africa's role in international development institutions, especially the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Reform in these organizations is long overdue. Russia is ready to expand the geography of agricultural exports to Africa. More than 40 African countries already receive Russian fertilizers and grains. The trade turnover between Russia and Africa may exceed 50 billion dollars. It is no coincidence that Africa is called the continent of the future - the center of global demographic growth will move there by 2030. 12 of the 20 fastest growing economies in the world are African. Russia is open to transferring modern skills and high-tech digital know-how to African friends. Russia has developed a platform for the sovereign development of African countries. The emphasis on the continent's development potential is interesting. As Putin pointed out, the demographic center will move to the Dark Continent in less than five years. It is especially emphasized that half of the fastest growing countries are also in Africa. As correctly stated, African countries will need - and already need - Russian support, from food to education. Along with the population, the number of people of working age is increasing, and in the coming decades, almost a quarter of all workers on the planet will be in Africa. The Russian leader said that Russia has extended the aid program to African countries in the fight against infections until 2029.
