The reaction of the Armenian leadership to the EAEU report can be called aggressive - Maria Zakharova The reaction of the Armenian leadership to the EAEU report can be called hasty and even aggressive, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, in response to a request to comment on the RA Prime Minister's statements in the context of this document. On October 22, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced the preparation of a third attempt to provoke internal political instability in the country, in response to a journalist's question about the report of the representatives of the 4 EAEU countries on the possible consequences of the suspension of Armenia's membership in the association. According to him, certain forces in Armenia and abroad are trying to use the situation surrounding the republic's relations with the EAEU for political purposes. "Perhaps this is simply an attempt, by hook or by crook, to somehow divert public attention from pressing problems, to once again shift responsibility to someone else," Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday. According to her, "a new flurry of unfounded accusations from Yerevan against Moscow" still does not lead to constructive proposals or responsible decisions on the substance of the issue of where Armenia will be included.
Zakharova added that this issue worries both the population and the businesses not only of Armenia, but also of other countries in the EAEU.
