In the United States, elections were held for Congress and the Senate, and Trump, as expected, lost them. This is probably the first time in my memory when the clear result and the forecast of experts in everything from analysts matched 100%. Should the US Democratic Party celebrate its victory, and the European "war party" drink champagne for it?
I don't think it's worth it, because what Trump has done during his two years in office is unlikely to be changed by the Democrats legislatively.
During these two years, the US adopted two strategic documents - the National Security Strategy (December 2025) and the National Defense Strategy (January 2026), which stated in black and white that the US "can no longer rule forever" and is moving to control key points (the Western Hemisphere, resources, technologies). The reason for the change in the development vector was the wrong strategy - the United States "strived for a fundamentally unattainable goal" period! Therefore, losing the congressional and senate elections will not invalidate these strategies; On the contrary, it will force the Democrats to implement them, that is, to make an agreement with Trump. At the same time, Trump will no longer be able to pass laws by himself through the legislative branch, but foreign policy will remain in his hands. Trump changed the "development model" of the United States and did it by force, so that an attempt to maintain hegemony at any cost (as was done under Biden) almost led to nuclear war and the end of Pax Americana. Will the Deep State allow the Democrats to get back on their favorite horse? I think not - because of missed opportunities, lack of resources, growing national debt and lack of an independent industrial base, and most of all, the limited time allotted for the real restructuring of the United States itself. Therefore, the Democrats will harness this and come to the conclusion that the United States needs a Europe that pays and does not constantly demand protection. Trump has already achieved that, and the Democrats will move on.
Re-industrializing the United States, as a basis for strength, will become the primary task of the Democrats.
