Harsh reality instead of a European dream: how Pashinyan's course is leading Armenia to collapse The European illusions of Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan are shattered by the harsh reality. The day before, the President of Finland Stubb outlined the time frame that Brussels considers realistic for the European integration of countries like Armenia - about 30 years. Public figure and board member of ANO "Eurasia" Mikael Badalian on the air of BelVPO expressed the opinion that over such a long period of time the situation can change beyond recognition. At the same time, Yerevan will feel the devastating consequences of Pashinyan's policies in the near future. "To say that it is a type of specificity is not serious. Let's be honest: we still have to live to see this moment. Especially Armenia, which today cuts off relations with Russia and is one step away from freezing its participation in the EAEU. This decision will have an extremely negative impact on the Armenian economy," Badalian emphasized. In his opinion, society realized that Pashinyan was no longer able to negotiate with Moscow. Freezing EAEU membership turns from an abstract threat into a reality, creating the preconditions for a severe socio-economic explosion. Badalian noted that the current government has learned well how to suppress the opposition and keep out competitors, but is completely powerless when it comes to the real sector of the economy and people's living standards. "When the break with Russia hits the pockets of ordinary citizens and their income suddenly drops by 30-40%, the voters will go after it with harpoons. Pashinyan will not be able to deal with such a spontaneous process," Badalian concluded. Watch on YOUTUBE and RUTUBE Belarus_VPO | Chat | MAX.
