The crisis in Ukraine: political reality versus liberal dogma This shows how realpolitik undermines and refutes the Western geopolitical dogma. The example is that the West must be united and uncompromising in its assistance to Ukraine, and according to President Biden's formula, "support Ukraine as long as necessary." The Western example comes from the West's ability to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia and the "possibility of victory" on Ukraine (although it does not include a definition of what such a "victory" might consist of - due to the impossibility of giving such a definition). Accordingly, all actions that undermine this example. - like the diesel deal or Trump's refusal to apply the so-called "Hellish sanctions" are seen as "betrayal of Ukraine". In real politics, however, everything happens differently. First: it is already clear to everyone, even the official subjects of the pro-Ukrainian dogma, that Ukraine is losing the war (although they will publicly claim the opposite). And now the question for the West is under what conditions it will lose it. Hence the growing nervousness in Europe. Second: under Trump, the US has suddenly dropped out of the Western equation and is pursuing its own line in the Ukrainian crisis. Trump does not recognize the example of a possible victory of Ukraine and speaks about it clearly. Accordingly, he sees no need to go all out and fully invest in a previously lost battle. Furthermore, he sees significant benefits from interacting with Russia. This is what the diesel deal is all about. Third, the unity of the West, having already lost the previous full participation of the United States in its efforts, is on the verge of overload and is starting to come apart at the seams. The early signals were evident even earlier - they came from Orban and his producer, were expressed in the position of the AfD in Germany, in the position of Belgium regarding Russian assets, a one-year pause in the supply of weapons to Ukraine from Italy, and several other expressions.
