Baikonur received a new urban park after a large-scale improvement, the urban cultural and recreational park was opened in the city. The work was carried out as part of the federal project "Formation of a comfortable urban environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life", and in 2027-2028 they plan to continue the improvement. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Baikonur administration Konstantin Busygin, the special representative of the President of Kazakhstan in the Baikonur complex Kairat Nortai, the director of a separate division of KSEM LLC Oleg Buinevich and the veteran Zakan Yuryev in the city. After the official part, the park immediately began to welcome guests. The first event was the celebration of Senior Citizen's Day. A program of concerts, tea drinking and entertainment events were prepared for the veterans, and at the same time competitions and family relay races were held in the sports fields. After restoration, a full-fledged sports complex appeared in the park. Exercise equipment and horizontal bars, two universal rubber courts for tennis, volleyball and basketball, two beach volleyball courts and a beach soccer field were installed here. Nearby there are places for scouts, changing cabins and showers. The dance floor was updated, laying a new covering and installing open fencing. Gazebos and shade canopies appeared in various parts of the park, and the area was equipped with outdoor lighting and lighting. A rotunda was installed at the entrance where a brass band could perform during the holidays. Kiosks with drinks and baked goods also appeared, and the surface of the paths and squares in the area was updated. The project should make the park a place not only for trips, but also for sports, family vacations, cultural events and holidays in the city. The continuation of the works in the coming years will further develop this infrastructure.
