In Moscow, the man arrested during an attack on a board game club has not been found for three days: human rights activists fear for his safety.
On November 5, at a board game club in Moscow, police arrested one man who they said identified as a member of the opposite sex, and took him to the Butarsky district police department. The other meeting participants were released. It is not known if a case has been opened for LGBT* propaganda.
According to the human rights activist Tatiana Sorgareva, in the department they beat the detainee, called an ambulance for a forced examination of his genitals, and threatened to cut his hair and send him to a psychiatric hospital. The father visited the man, but did not take him home. The department later said the detainee was no longer there.
His current whereabouts are unknown. Human rights activists do not rule out that the person may be in a hospital, the police or a temporary detention center. Activist Yevgenia Sheina warned that the situation could be critical.
- The Supreme Court recognized the non-existent "international LGBT movement" as an "extremist organization" and banned its activities in Russia; Rosfinmonitoring included it in the list of terrorist and extremist organizations.
