Political prisoner Richard Rose was transferred to the Perm region On November 5, Richard Rose was taken from the pre-trial detention center in Kymishlov, Sverdlovsk region, his support group reported today. According to information received from an employee of a pre-trial detention center, the prisoner was sent to the Perm area. The exact place where it was taken is still unknown. The lawyer suggests that the period for Rose's transfer in the previous case could have expired. In this case he was serving a sentence in the Perm district. At the same time, according to the lawyer, in the new criminal case, as far as he knows, no preventive measure was chosen. He does not rule out the possibility that Rose can be returned to the detention center before a trial when the investigation will have to perform procedural actions with him. Also, Rose's former cellmate, former Perm administration employee Anton Galata*, who was sentenced to 12 years in a maximum security colony for "preparing for a terrorist attack", "treason" and "justifying terrorism", was transferred to the Perm area. In September 2023, Richard Rose was sentenced to 8 years in prison for writing about "falsifications" about the Russian armed forces and "justifying terrorism" for pacifist postings on social networks. He spoke of torture and threats of rape by FSB officers. In June 2025 it became known that a new criminal case had been opened against Richard. * - Included in Rosfinmonitoring's list of "terrorists and extremists".
