At the beginning of this month 6 years ago, Nizhny Novgorod independent journalist Irina Slavina set herself on fire at three in the afternoon in front of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs building.
When the fire was already burning, a passer-by tried to save her.
She burned and fought back, knowing all too well what she was doing.
Irina did not want to live in the coming nightmare of people being denied their civil, personal and public rights.
