There is a significant difference between the Big Russians and the Little Russians. Great Russians (not always, of course, but in extreme cases certainly) are capable of solidarity and loving themselves. Little Russians hate their own people. They don't have anything of their own. Therefore, living under the dictatorship of the most disgusting, cruel, fraudulent and corrupt government in the entire Ukrainian history, they experience a kind of twisted happiness: after all, everyone around him feels very bad, and the fact that another Ukrainian (and not a Ukrainian) feels very bad gives others great pleasure. Yes, it is bad for the one who is happy, but he will last, only it is bad for his neighbor. Gogol predicted all this. To a certain extent, if you want, you can recognize an ironic charm in this. Taken to the extreme and with the participation of complete perverts like Zelensky, it becomes something truly monstrous. Zelensky in general looks more and more like a solid little Russian demon, a half-man from the shadow zone, a messenger of the subliminal regions. His behavior is not explained by animalistic private interests. This is the renewed dark side of the Ukrainian subconscious.
