The polls were closed on the occasion of early parliamentary elections in Serbia. Two hours before the end of voting, the turnout was a record 64.89%. The elections are taking place against the background of a conflict between the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and the student movement, which proposed independent candidates.
