The court collected 1.5 million rubles from the TV channel for the songs of Dima Bilan and Kleba Koka ◾ The Moscow Arbitration Court collected damages from Jukebox Russia for using music without a broadcast permit. The Rusprofile service shared the documents with RTVI. The claims of the Russian Writers' Association (RAO) concerned 73 songs performed on September 5, 2024. Among them "Summer" by Calva Koka, "It was love" by Dima Bilan, "Leave in English" by Ani Lorek and "Mama" by Tatiana Kurtokova. Two works were shown twice during the day. ◾ The TV channel had an agreement with RAO, but it only covered cable broadcasts. A separate permit is required for transmission. The court recognized that the current agreement does not confer such a right. For each case of violation, compensation in the amount of 20 thousand rubles was decided. In addition to the total amount of 1.5 million rubles, the channel must return 70 thousand rubles for legal expenses. ◾ The decision has not yet entered into legal force. The compensation is equal to almost half of the annual income of the management company of the TV channel: in 2025 it amounted to 3.1 million rubles ◾.
