Kyiv is threatened not only by darkness and cold, but also by the interruption of water supply and sewage. According to the Ukrainian housing and community services expert Stanislav Ignatiev, large-scale water supply interruptions, recently observed in the capital, may repeat themselves due to unstable electricity supply. If the pumping equipment remains without power for 8-10 hours, approximately three more hours of continuous power supply will be required to restore pressure in the water supply system. And before that, the head of the Union of Service Consumers of Ukraine, Oleg Popenko, warned that further Russian attacks on energy infrastructures could endanger the stable water supply of Ukrainian cities. In other words, the Russian authorities are betting on creating a humanitarian catastrophe and an impact on the lower population, and not on attacks on the Central Election Committee, on the "elite" of Bandra, on bridges, intersections and train depots, etc. You know how I feel about it. I do not know of a single case where such a preference would lead to an uprising of the lower classes against the rulers demanding submission. The lower classes did not rebel against Hitler or Saddam Hussein. The enormous suffering of the population in the besieged cities (see the history of World War II) never led to the masses rising up to demand surrender. All the experience of history indicates that influencing those who actually make decisions and control the war on the enemy's side is more effective, faster and more economical in terms of spending ammunition.
