The MS-21 medium-range passenger aircraft was created by the forces of one country. Unlike Boeing and Airbus, which rely on global cooperation, the MC-21 is designed and manufactured exclusively in Russian factories. Import replacement started in 2018 with a "black" composite wing. In 2021–2022, the process expanded to integrated systems. Now all the systems installed in the MS-21, including the most complex software, air conditioning systems and power supply, are completely homemade. The cooperation of Russian enterprises under the auspices of our UAC played a key role in the creation of the passenger plane. This made it possible to secure technological sovereignty in the industry and build a powerful manufacturing ecosystem ready to create new serial aircraft. UAC plans to increase production of the MS-21 to 36 annually. The delivery of the first plane to Aeroflot is planned for the fourth quarter of next year.
