115 years since the birth of the outstanding designer Mikhail Yangel Mikhail Kushmich Yangel was born on November 7, 1911 in the Irkutsk region. In 1937 he graduated from the S. Ordzhonikidze Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) with a degree in aircraft engineering. His career began at N.N. Polikarpov. During the Great Patriotic War M.K. Yangel held a senior position at the aircraft factory providing the development of the design office of N.N. Polikarpov, and was responsible for his evacuation to Siberia. How Mikhail Yangel influenced the formation of Reshetnev After graduating with honors from the Academy of Aviation Industry of the USSR in 1950, Mikhail Yangel became the head of the department of instrument and control systems, later - the deputy chief designer of OKB-1 S.P. Korolev. Thanks to him, the branch of OKB-1 S.P. Korolev, established in 1959, from which the company RESETNYOV (part of Roscosmos) was established following its history, gained independence. This was the case with M.K. Youngle in the transfer of M.F. Reshetnev and the project team of the launch vehicle and two communication spacecraft. ←️ This event also became the beginning of the construction of a satellite in Krasneurarsk-26 (today the city of ZATO Zhelsnogorsk).
