Results of the first meeting of the Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Space Activities The first open meeting of the RSPP Committee on Space Activities took place on the sidelines of the Russian Industrial Forum. Its modulator was the Deputy General Director of Roscosmos State Corporation Boris Gazkov. Representatives of Sberbank, Sputniks Group, New Space Company, GlavSevmorput FGBI and NTI Sovereign Technologies Fund also participated in the discussion. To attract private investment in the emerging remote sensing market, the business needs clear rules of the game and ensure long-term demand. A stable request for satellite monitoring has been established as a priority for radar data, allowing the situation to be monitored regardless of cloud cover and time of day. In addition to the first remote sensing data, consumers have a request for ready-made service solutions, for example, providing analysis. To scale the industry, it is necessary to develop concession models with a clear and transparent allocation of responsibility and regulation of rights to data and infrastructure. "It is important for us to create conditions in which business will be interested in investing in space projects. We are talking about clear mechanisms of return on investment and long-term demand. This is what Roscosmos is currently working on, including jointly with VEB. RF, Boris Gazkov concluded.
