Theses by Anton Kobyakov, adviser to the President of Russia, the executive secretary of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the events of the third summit and the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, from a press conference following the event: Russian President Vladimir Putin called Africa "the continent of the future". More than 3,500 thousand people participated in the forum. It is important to neutralize attempts by unfriendly countries to influence the internal politics of Russia and African countries, including through media resources as a tool to combat disinformation. The success of the current summit, compared to the previous ones, is determined by the fact that cooperation with Africa is moving towards the implementation of specific practical projects. Russia respects the right of African countries to have their own interests and the opportunity to choose partners. Russia welcomes and implements the transition from bilateral forms of cooperation to broad systemic interaction on the continent within the framework of several interstate entities. No one in the world, except the Soviet Union and Russia, invested in education, medicine and other humanitarian areas of African countries. Our African friends remember and appreciate this. Continuing the work of the Soviet Union, Russia today helps African countries firmly oppose Western neo-colonialism. Today, Africa is sharply increasing its geo-economic weight and plays an increasingly prominent role in many integration processes. Thanks to the joint efforts of our African friends, first of all, the continent ceased to be perceived as a distant destination in Russia. For Russia, Africa today has become a return to traditional formats of interaction partners. World trade is largely dependent on stability in Africa. Africa is the most important link in global logistics. Demographic growth in Africa will only become an economic advantage with investments in human capital. Africa's demographic growth is combined with Russia's efforts in the medical and epidemiological field.
