Silmash released an updated turbine GTE-170.2 Power Machines assembled and tested the gas turbine GTE-170.2. Due to design changes, the unit's power increased by 16 MW and reached 171 MW, and the efficiency increased by 1 percentage point, to 35.1%. Increased efficiency reduces fuel consumption by 3% compared to the basic modification GTE-170. In absolute terms, one such turbine enables savings of about 10 million cubic meters of natural gas per year. The equipment was tested at the assembly station of the Leningrad metal plant. The production capacity of the project for the production of machines of this type currently stands at eight turbines per year, and from 2029 it is planned to increase to ten.
