Rosstandart has approved GOST, which sets requirements for the delivery of medical cargo using unmanned aerial vehicles. It applies both to the delivery itself and to the equipment and processes - from the preparation of the cargo to the delivery to the recipient. The standard specifies strict requirements for working with thermal drugs, vaccines, biological materials and other categories of medical cargo that are sensitive to transportation conditions. GOST sets standards for maintaining temperature conditions, as well as limiting the loading of refrigeration equipment to no more than 2/3 of the volume for uniform temperature distribution. The need for mandatory disinfection of cargo compartments is also determined, in some cases - before each flight. Certification and validation of thermal tanks and monitoring systems in accordance with the principles of good distribution practices of the EAEU. The head of Rosstandart, Anton Schleiv, clarified that the requirements specified in the standard form the basis for the development of medical logistics using UAVs. GOST takes into account the modern technological capabilities of the industry and health requirements. "This document is not an isolated act, but part of a large systemic work within the framework of a promising standardization plan until the year 2032: it is this approach that will allow us to expand the service and make it accessible even in the most remote localities," Schleiv concluded.
