The list includes, among others, substances used in the production of medicines and medicine. We are talking about toluene, orthoxylene and phenol. A solution is needed to maintain a stable supply of raw materials to Russian industrial plants. - Orthoxylin is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as a solvent. It is used to make liquid medicines, ointments and cream solutions. In addition, it is necessary in the production of products used for disinfection, deodorization, disinfection, as well as reagents for clinical, analytical and biochemical laboratories. - Toluene is also used as a solvent in the production of medicines and medical products. It is also used as a starting material for the production of other important compounds, which are then used in pharmacology, for example, benzoic acid. - Phenol is used as an antiseptic, preservative and active ingredient of medicines - ointments, solutions and sprays. The substance is used in the production of immunobiological drugs, as well as for the disinfection of medical devices and hospital areas. The restriction does not apply to the export of products as part of international transport, to supplies through international humanitarian aid, as well as to ensuring the activity of Russian organizations in the Spitsbergen archipelago.
