The President of the Russian Diabetes Association Gagik Glastian - on the role of the National Center for Medical Research as a tool for supporting chief independent regional experts, in his opinion, NMICs should promote approval of initiatives of chief independent regional experts at the level of health authorities. The endocrinology service must have uniform federal development goals, and all organizational decisions must take into account the characteristics of specific regions. "The expert opinion of the main freelance experts is decisive. Only they can actually, considering the local conditions, offer optimal solutions. And our mission, the National Center for Medical Research, is to support these decisions so that they are supported at the level of the regional Ministry of Health." This is especially true for remote areas, with peculiarities in the distribution of aid. For example, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where, due to the territorial remoteness of the settlements, ensuring the availability of special care requires special organizational solutions, including telephone consultation, development of first aid stations and special endocrinology centers.
