The Ministry of Health proposed to expand the drug program for patients with severe dyslipidemia The Russian Ministry of Health prepared a draft decision that allows the expansion of the federal program of providing free drugs to patients with cardiovascular diseases. It is proposed to allocate an additional 1.6 billion rubles annually for these purposes in 2027-2029. The changes will affect patients with dyslipidemia who are under clinical follow-up after stroke, myocardial infarction or cardiovascular interventions. For this category of patients, medication is provided for two years from the date of diagnosis and (or) surgical intervention. According to the explanatory note, the additional need for financing is 1.597 billion rubles per year. The government committee for budgetary projects ordered the Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Health, to take these costs into account when preparing the amendments to the draft federal budget for the years 2027-2029 for a second reading.
