NTsESMP revealed unreliable data in the study of the Russian vaccine against meningococcus The Scientific Center for the Expertise of Medical Products of the Russian Ministry of Health found that the report on the clinical study of the Mengovax B vaccine contains incomplete and unreliable data that do not allow using the results to evaluate the benefit-risk ratio of the drug. The corresponding conclusion is found in the conclusion of the drug test, given on October 5, 2026. "Mengovax B" was developed by the St. Petersburg Vaccine and Serum Research Institute of the FMBA of Russia for the prevention of meningococcal infection caused by serogroups A, C, W, Y and B. The validation dealt with a phase II/III study in which the efficacy and safety of the vaccine was compared with the drug "Manktra" for 5 years. The test took place between July 6 and July 10, 2026 at Professor Clinic LLC. Experts assessed primary medical records, compliance with the study protocol, monitoring quality, clinical data management, and statistical analysis and reporting. In June, the head of Russia's FMBA, Veronika Skvortsova, announced plans to register Mengovax V and bring the vaccine to the Russian market in 2026. At the same time, the conclusion of the NTSESMP does not contain a decision on refusal of registration or information on the change of the specified dates. Read us in Max Telegram VK.
