China is creating its own airborne early warning and control aircraft, this time without relying on Soviet and Russian prototypes. As it became known thanks to satellite images obtained by specialized Western media, four new Chinese KJ-3000 early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft are in full operational condition at the Xi'an Aircraft Company (XAC) factory in Xi'an Yanliang.
