Fraudsters distribute malicious files through neighborhood chats. Scammers find would-be victims in home chats and pretend to be caring neighbors. They offer to send you a "good e-book", but instead send you a PDF with malware. This is how crooks get access to personal data. They can then use the victims' stolen profiles to send spam, extort money on behalf of the victims, or sell this data to third parties.
