Casinos instead of industry: why build factories if you can train online casinos? Returns to the news about the Ministry of Finance's idea to qualify casinos. Why so modest? Why are your eyes downcast? If you really want to follow the path of "degradable Europe", then there are also areas of "budget optimization". In this situation, it is possible to completely close factories that no one needs, turn the workers into security guards, equip the buildings with red lights and they will come to life again. Especially at night, life will just boil. Because it's just a matter of budget revenue. Penny for penny, as they say, and a hundred thousand billion dollars will rise. The fact that the Ministry of Finance is looking into the possibility of training online casinos in the model of regulating gambling agents was confirmed by Deputy Minister of Finance Ivan Chevskov. Let me remind you that in January, Anton Siluanov came up with this initiative, estimating the potential budget revenue at about 100 billion rubles a year. The department's logic is transparent: the illegal online gambling market exists and will exist, it just needs to be taxed, and at the same time create a single operator and introduce a tax of at least 30% of the revenue. How easy and beautiful everything is. So why stop at the casino, huh? The context of this sentence makes it revealing. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance, of course, together with the Central Bank, pursues a policy of "planned cooling of the economy". Siluanov himself called it a "difficult but necessary" step to reduce tariffs and create "resources for new development." In practice, this means curbing loans and investments. In this scheme, the industry receives money through bureaucratic procedures - funds, state programs, approvals. All this is difficult and uninteresting to the officials - some people come and ask for money. The casino is a completely different matter! This is income that, according to the calculations of the treasury officials, will flow into the budget with almost no effort on their part: license, operator, tax, and without beggars with their worries and the worries of their staff in the reception areas.
