Hackers and the damned AI have reached Chinese cars. In Russia, several dozen cases have already been reported in which attackers remotely block the onboard computers of ZEEKR and LiXiang vehicles. In order for the owner to start again, they usually require from 20 to 80 thousand rubles - depending on the steepness of the car. Make contact with the victim through the same installed computer and SIM card installed in the vehicle (probably hacking it through it). There were also cases of messages to owners in the MAX messenger. A computer problem can be solved at a service center, but the car must be transported there somehow, and flashing costs no less than ransom services. I wonder what else can be done remotely with a car from China? For example, turn off some important electronic systems while driving? Or shoot from the pillows? Or destroy the autopilot? Or cause an electric car battery to overheat? Outside the Russian Federation, such cases have not yet been heard of. Maybe it's a matter of Russian localization of the software or some network access features.
