For 2027, it is planned to change the rules for creating the funded part of the future pension of Russians. This is evident from the bill submitted to the State Duma regarding the automatic conversion of the pension savings (OPS) to the long-term savings plan (LSP). According to the document, as of April 1, 2027, the creation of funded pensions in Russia will cease, and all pension savings without requests from citizens (that is, "by law") will be transferred to the pension reserves of non-state pension funds as a one-time deposit and will be taken into account in long-term savings accounts. Mandatory insurance contracts and insurance rules of non-state pension funds will cease to apply. We are talking both about the funds of citizens whose funded pensions were created in the social fund (mainly those who are supposedly silent and did not manage their funds), and about clients who chose non-state pension funds for retirement savings. An authorized pension fund will be established to convert the pension savings of "quiet people" into long-term savings. How the procedure is organized is in the RBC material.
