◻ ◻ ◻ Coastal wetlands in China's Shandong Province turned crimson due to seasonal changes in plant color. This is what the "Guardian" reports. This phenomenon, known as "red beach", is observed in the Qingdao region. The unusual color of the beach is given by the salt (Suida glauca), which grows on local salt marshes. From September to November, when it ripens, the plant changes its color from green to crimson. Red Beach is located in Hongxia County on the west coast of Qingdao, near Jiaozhou Bay. According to the Qingdao government, the salt takes on its deepest red color from mid-September to late October. During this period, migratory birds also appear on the beach.
