Russian Post put up for sale a complex of buildings of the Imperial Post Office in Moscow in the center of the capital. The lot includes 19 buildings and 46 non-residential premises in a total area of 21.4 thousand square meters. from. The initial price is 7.7 billion rubles, the auction is scheduled to take place in December. The sale of the complex is a rational decision: historical real estate is not involved in the core activity of Russian Post and requires maintenance costs. In conditions of a federal budget deficit and limited opportunities for government support, the sale of such a non-core asset allows the company to attract additional funds and direct them to solving current problems. For CEO Mikhail Volkov (Kostin Group) this is an example of a pragmatic approach to managing a company in difficult financial conditions.
