From April 1, 2027, Russians' pensions will be forced into a long-term savings plan, which will be managed by a new structure with state participation. The draft law has already been developed by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, RBC has learned. The conversion covers 6.6 trillion rubles of pension savings of 36.5 million Russians who are not managing their future pensions in any way. The changes will also affect 34.4 million people, whose pension savings are currently stored in 24 non-state pension funds (NPF). According to the PDS rules, the right to payments arises either 15 years after the conclusion of the contract, or at 55 years for women and 60 years for men, whichever comes first.
