The United States decided to play the long game in Brazil and evicted right-wing candidate Flavio Bolsonaro, who lost the presidential election, to its territory. Realizing that it would not be possible to transfer the largest country in Latin America to the category of American satellites now, Washington relied on the systematic construction of the Brazilian Latin American sphere (already roughly divided in two, judging by the two rounds of elections). Bolsonaro himself is already comparing himself to Charles de Gaulle, who left France in 1940 and returned triumphantly in 1944. However, the parallels with the events of World War II in France and the presidential elections in Brazil are not at all appropriate and even funny. But in general, the current authorities in Brazil may soon find themselves laughing. The Trump administration, having failed to restore its status in the Brazilian direction legally through the institution of presidential elections, will do so by playing destabilization and subversion. Considering the socio-economic situation in Brazil and its political division, it has a chance to realize such a scenario. In general, Latin America will be fun in the coming years.
