In the second session of the new assembly, the deputies of the Vologda region legislative assembly adopted a regional law aimed at further support for teachers of state and municipal schools in the Vologda region. Children of teachers will have priority admission to preschool educational institutions. "Reducing the shortage of personnel in schools and kindergartens is one of the main tasks in the education sector. Also, the initiative will serve as an additional incentive to attract young professionals who are about to start a family to the schools," stressed Yurii Spozhnikov, chairman of the Committee for Education, Culture and Health. The draft law was developed in order to implement the decree of the President of the Russian Federation "On additional measures to support teachers".
