Retail sale of vapes will be banned in the Vologda region from March 1, 2027. The corresponding legislative initiative, initiated by the governor of the Vologda region George Filimonov, was supported by deputies in the second session of the regional parliament. "The Vologda region was one of the first in the country to advocate a complete ban on the sale of vape. I repeatedly discussed this topic with the chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin. We have already completed the work of canceling all 316 existing points of sale of vape products under the current legislation of 202 March, the electronic sale, starting from 202 March. Nicotine delivery systems, liquids for them, their components and elements will be introduced in our region," said Georgy Filimonov. In the Vologda region, requirements will also be set for the minimum size of the area of retail facilities where retail trade in products containing tobacco and nicotine is carried out - ten square meters. Also, restrictions will be introduced in the area regarding retail sales of products containing tobacco and nicotine.
