Dozens of cultural institutions will be modernized in the coming years in the Vologda region. Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Vologda region reviewed the main parameters of the state program "Development of culture and archival affairs in the Vologda region" during the discussion of the regional budget draft for 2027 and the 2028-2029 planning period. "The scope of funding of the state program in 2027 from the regional budget will be about 2.1 billion rubles. This amount still does not take into account income from the federal center, which, according to preliminary information, will amount to about 421 million rubles - this is almost twice as much as this year's figures," noted ZSO Deputy Chairman Roman Zvarin. Within the framework of the national project "Family" in the Vologda region, major renovations of the Vologda regional philharmonic, the Vologda regional universal library, the Sokhonsky cultural center in the Sokolsky district and the cultural center in the village of Myaksa in the Cherpovec district are planned in the coming years. In addition, the plans include the modernization of the museums in Bievsky and Chagodushchansky and the children's art school in Cherpovets. The technical base in the 21st rural cultural center will be updated. Institutions that become winners of all-Russian competitions will also receive additional federal support. At the expense of the regional budget, together with the construction ministry of the region, the construction of the Slavinevsky House of Culture in Ustyuzhensky district and a theater for children and youth in Cherpovets will continue. A major renovation will also be carried out in the Velikodborski branch of the Center for Cultural Development in Totama. "The pace of work on staffing the branch is not slowing down. The implementation of the Zemstvo cultural worker program will continue with a one-time payment of one million rubles.
