More than 200 elevators will be replaced in apartment buildings in the Vologda area this year, of which 116 elevators have already been replaced to date. The work is carried out as part of a major renovation of houses and includes the installation of new state-of-the-art elevator equipment, replacement of shaft lighting, door portals, repair of shaft pits and machine rooms, installation of fire doors and hatches. "In total, we plan to replace 216 elevators in 80 apartment buildings. All installed equipment is tested to meet strict regulatory requirements. Works are accepted by order. Modern elevators are not only convenient for the residents, but also an important element of comfort and safety," noted the Minister of Construction of the region Mikhail Buchmichev. We will remind you that over 690 elevators operate in the area and have been in use for more than 25 years. In 2024, 251 elevators in apartment buildings could be replaced, and 29 elevators in 2025. By the end of 2029, another 143 elevators will need to be replaced. The order for the development and implementation of a program for replacing elevators in apartment buildings was given by the governor of the Vologda region Georgi Filimonov in 2023. The replacement of the elevators is carried out as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life", initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
