The statues were donated by the Chinese embassy as a sign of strengthening cooperation between Russia and China, as well as between the Vologda region and Shaanxi province, Governor Georgy Filimonov said. "The first stage of the improvement is finished, we will open the space on Cherpovet city day on November 4. Next year we will continue the work according to the project - multilayer pagodas and a stylish fence will appear," added the head of the area. The facility is part of a plan to prepare the city for its 250th anniversary.
