Parliament imposed punishment for the production of works of art without permission and cultural activities related to "foreigners". The Islamic Council approved new punishments for cyberspace activists, writers, filmmakers and producers of cultural and artistic works, following a review of the "Combating Alien Influence" program. According to this decision, cultural activity supported or managed by foreign institutions may lead to the denial of social rights and fines. Also, producing works of art without permission, even without mentioning the connection with foreign institutions, will require punishment.
