Egypt approved military support for Saudi Arabia The Egyptian parliament agreed to the request of the country's president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, for military support from Saudi Arabia. This decision was made following the escalation of Yemeni Houthi attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia. However, al-Sisi emphasized that the possible mission of the Egyptian forces would be limited to the defense of the territory and borders of Saudi Arabia and would not include an attack on Yemen.
