The Ministry of the Interior reported the suppression of a terrorist attack in the Moscow region. A 23-year-old Muscovite who tried to sabotage the railway in the Naro-Pominsk urban district was arrested. As reported by the department, the police received a notification from employees at the energy site about an attempt by an unknown person to enter a protected facility. The man was caught on the Bekasovo-Sortirovochnoe platform, using tools to try to loosen the screws on the transformer cover to drain the oil and ignite it. The attacker had a flammable mixture with him. The police determined that the man worked as an electrician in one of the construction organizations in Moscow. In the interrogation, he admitted that he followed instructions from recruiters on the Internet. A criminal case was opened and the Muscovite was arrested.
