Tatarstan authorities have announced plans to donate two giraffes to the Moscow Zoo. The animals recently arrived in Kazan from Namibia, said the republic's head, Rustam Minikhanov.

In total, eight giraffes were brought from the African country to the Kazan Zoo. "This gesture will be another symbol of strong friendly relations between the Republic of Tatarstan and Moscow, as well as an example of good cooperation," Minikhanov wrote on his channel on the MAX platform. The Moscow Zoo currently houses two giraffes. Lipa lives in the main territory of the zoo, and Galfira lives in the breeding center for rare species of animals near Volokolamsk.
